Communiqué of the Fifth State Executive Council Meeting of APGA Osun

 

COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE FIFTH STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING OF APGA OSUN

 


The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA Osun) convened its fifth state executive council meeting at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo, on March 16, 2024. This gathering served as a platform for robust deliberations on critical party and state affairs, resulting in the formulation of decisive resolutions aimed at advancing the interests of the party and the welfare of Osun State citizens.

 

1.      APGA Osun reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its membership base, urging Osun residents to embrace the party's principles and join its ranks, thereby fostering a stronger grassroots presence and broader support network.

 

2.      Recognizing the pivotal role of effective grassroots structures in achieving political objectives, APGA Osun resolved to intensify efforts in restructuring and revitalizing its local government and ward structures. This initiative seeks to bolster organizational efficiency and ensure seamless coordination of party activities at all levels.

 

3.      With a keen focus on the security and well-being of Osun citizens, APGA Osun conveyed its concerns to Governor Ademola Adeleke, emphasizing the imperative of prioritizing the protection of lives and properties across the state.

 

4.      In a spirit of constructive engagement, APGA Osun advised Governor Adeleke to redirect his energies towards governance and refrain from pursuing a second term ambition at this juncture, urging him to concentrate on delivering impactful governance devoid of distractions.

 

5.      In furtherance of its commitment to excellence in governance, APGA Osun recommended a comprehensive review and reshuffling of the state cabinet to optimize performance and ensure that all ministries operate at their maximum potential to meet the needs of the populace.

 

6.      Recognizing the significance of infrastructure development in driving socioeconomic progress, APGA Osun urged the state government to institute stringent oversight mechanisms to monitor ongoing construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and timely completion for the benefit of all citizens.

 

7.      APGA Osun enjoined Governor Adeleke to adopt a people-centric approach in the administration of Osun State, prioritizing the delivery of tangible benefits to the populace and striving to leave a lasting legacy anchored on service and good governance.

 

8.      In solidarity with the welfare concerns of workers and retirees in Osun State, APGA Osun implored Governor Adeleke's administration to promptly settle all outstanding salaries and pensions, recognizing the critical role of timely remuneration in alleviating financial hardships and sustaining livelihoods.

 

9.      In conclusion, APGA Osun remains resolute in its commitment to advancing the collective interests of Osun State citizens and promoting the ideals of good governance, accountability, and inclusivity. Through proactive engagement and constructive dialogue, the party endeavors to chart a course towards a brighter future for all residents of Osun State.
