APGA URGES GOVERNOR ADELEKE TO RESHUFFLE CABINET FOR IMPROVED GOVERNANCE


 

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has issued a press release urging His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, to undertake a strategic reshuffle of his cabinet. The recommendation comes as part of APGA's commitment to promoting good governance and ensuring optimal performance in the administration of Osun State.

In a statement released by the Chairman of the Party, Wole Adedoyin, on Monday in Ilesa, APGA highlighted the importance of periodically reviewing and realigning the composition of the state's executive council to better address the evolving needs and challenges faced by the government and its constituents.

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA Osun) convened its fifth state executive council meeting at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo, on March 16, 2024. This gathering served as a platform for robust deliberations on critical party and state affairs, resulting in the formulation of decisive resolutions aimed at advancing the interests of the party and the welfare of Osun State citizens.

 

1.      APGA Osun reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its membership base, urging Osun residents to embrace the party's principles and join its ranks, thereby fostering a stronger grassroots presence and broader support network.

 

2.      Recognizing the pivotal role of effective grassroots structures in achieving political objectives, APGA Osun resolved to intensify efforts in restructuring and revitalizing its local government and ward structures. This initiative seeks to bolster organizational efficiency and ensure seamless coordination of party activities at all levels.

 

3.      With a keen focus on the security and well-being of Osun citizens, APGA Osun conveyed its concerns to Governor Ademola Adeleke, emphasizing the imperative of prioritizing the protection of lives and properties across the state.

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA Osun) convened its fourth state executive council meeting at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo, on January 6, 2024. Deliberating on crucial party and state matters, the Party arrived at the following resolutions:

 

1.      APGA Osun extended its commendation to Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of APGA, for his steadfast commitment to party unity and his efforts in preparing the party for future Elections.

 

2.      The Party expressed profound gratitude to Alhaji Owolabi Suraj Olanrewaju, the National Vice Chairman of APGA for the Southwest, for his invaluable support and astute political guidance in coordinating the party's activities within the region.

 

3.      Governor Ademola Adeleke is applauded for his proactive stance in initiating plans for the organization of local government elections, a move deemed crucial for grassroots democratic representation.

 

4.      Recognizing the importance of security in ensuring the well-being of citizens, APGA Osun urged all security agencies, including the Police, DSS, and NSCDC, to prioritize the protection and welfare of the people of Osun State.
