INSECURITY: ACPP BERATES OSUN GOVERNOR, CONDEMNED ATTACK ON JOURNALIST

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has berated Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, for being insensitive to numerous political and civil attacks in the state.

The Alliance also condemned the recent attack on a journalist attached to The Nation Newspapers, Mr. Toba Adedeji and two other Kindergarten School children by armed police officers from the Osun State Police Command.

ACPP described the recent attack in the state as devilish and provocative, adding that such dastardly act if allowed to continue unabated will cause political chaos in the state.

This was contained in a press statement released on Tuesday by a Chieftain of the Alliance, Wole Adedoyin.

According to Adedoyin, “It is true that Governor Gboyega Oyetola inherited some security challenges upon assuming office as governor, it is also true that the security woes of Osun state further degenerated under his watch as he incompetently failed to address the underlying security issues contrary to his campaign promises.”

ACPP further blamed Governor Gboyega Oyetola who is the Chief Security officer of the state for the state’s poor security architecture and negligent management of security intelligence.

ACPP finally said that the trigger-happy Police officers who committed the dastardly act should be brought to book.
